Wildlife Tours in North India
Indian Wildlife is very rich in Flora & Fauna. Tiger is among the most popular Wild Species & lot,
one of the world's most beautiful animals, faces extinction today. In this century alone, three sub species
tigers have been driven to extinction. Today there are 23 Tiger reserves in India & around 3500-4000 tigers in
the wilds which is more than all the other species of tigers in the world (tame & wild) put together. India is one
of the very few countries in the world where you can still see a tiger in the wilds.
Jaipur is the next destination of this Tour. A city like Jaipur, where modernity and traditions live hand-in-hand, is truly
rare. Perhaps this is what makes it an attractive destination for tourists who flock to Jaipur , year after year. The lively spirit of fanfare, festivity and celebration adequately matches the colourful and intricately carved monuments. Even today, one can find weather beaten faces with huge coloufrul turbans, moustaches that signify pride and lips that spontaneously crease into a heart warming smile.
Ranthambore is the first Wildlife destination we cover in this tour. Ranthambore National Park is an
example of Project Tiger's efforts at conservation in the country. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort
once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The desire to preserve the game in these forests for
sport was responsible for their conservation and subsequent rescue by Project Tiger. Chital, nilgai, and chinkara,
are the other inhabitants of the region.
